Tohono O'odham cocaine ring falls in police sweep - KGUN 9 On Your Side, Tucson News, Weather & Sports: "Law enforcement agents descended on the Tohono O'odham (toh-HO'-noh OH'-tuhm) Nation town of Sells on Saturday to break up a large ring that had been dealing cocaine on the southern Arizona reservation.
A task force of federal and state officers led by tribal police arrested 10 people and searched seven homes.
Authorities say the raid was the largest drug enforcement action ever on the reservation southwest of Tucson. Weapons, vehicles, cash, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana were seized.
Tohono O'odham Nation chairman Ned Norris Jr. said in a statement that the actions of the drug dealers put the whole community at risk.
8 of those arrested face federal charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison."
