Money not the motive for prison smuggling: guard - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation): "investigating allegations 35-year-old Sebastian Wade smuggled drugs and other contraband into the John Morony Correctional Centre near Windsor.
He has admitted taking in cannabis and sunglasses but denied smuggling other drugs, steak and vodka.
The guard also denied knowing about a contraband phone being used for drug trafficking.
When asked if he was deliberately bringing in contraband items for money, Wade replied: 'No, I didn't do it for the money.'
He said he would have smuggled the packages for free and denied that his answer was a lie.
Wade said he had built up a good rapport with inmates from seeing them every day and the drugs were to 'calm inmates down'."
