Royal Thai Navy Narcotics Officers received a report of a Brothel located within the Sattahip Market where girls as young as 15 were offering sex in exchange for money. The girls would also supply class 1 drugs to patrons should they wish. Officers began the investigation by arresting an 18 year old girl who was caught with 20 Yabba Tablets. She provided the officers with information about the brothel and an operation took place whereby an undercover operative entered and was indeed offered drugs by one of the prostitutes inside. A raid of the establishment then took place and a total of 10 women aged between 15 and 30 were arrested including one woman who was suspected of being the main agent for the drugs. She was caught with 72 Yabba Tablets. The arrestees were all urine tested and they all failed the test and were charged with a variety of prostitution and drugs offences. During the raid it is thought that around 30 women managed to escape and further investigations are now taking place to round these women up.
