convicted Frank Pierre, 36, of two charges Thursday: conspiracy to possess more than 5 kilos of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of more than 500 grams of cocaine with intent to distribute, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami.Pierre's arrest followed an investigation that began on the Treasure Coast in November 2008, authorities said. Federal and local investigators discovered that a drug-dealing operation in St. Lucie County was part of a larger cocaine trafficking network based in Broward and Palm Beach counties, according to federal prosecutors.Pierre was involved in trafficking cocaine into South Florida from Haiti and the Bahamas, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
